  • On the first day of class, a student attended a class at Barnard in the women's and gender studies department called "Intersectional Feminisms". The class is taught by Marisa Solomon who was wearing a keffiyeh and started the class by saying "It's been a hundred days since the war in Gaza began..." (making no mention of the Oct 7 terrorist attack). Later in her monologue, she implied an equivalency between the "censoring" of anti-Israel speech by universities with Native boarding schools.

  • The syllabus of the class has many readings by anti-Israel Palestinian authors that characterize Israel as an imperial settler colonial oppressor etc etc. (Example1, Example2). It is clear the Professor also takes the stance that Israel is an imperial settler colonial country.
