To address hostilities on campus, Barnard College has arranged “A Day of Dialogue and Reflection.”

There is a video the DEI officer Jennifer Rosales made regarding the events taking place on Friday and also an email that went out to students.

This was the text of the email that was sent to Barnard students.

It should be noted that one of the speakers offered by Barnard is Professor Hatem Bazian, who is a notorious antisemite, terrorist supporter, anti-Zionist and a founder of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), a group that at the moment of this writing has been suspended at Columbia. AMCHA Initiative has published numerous reports showing that the presence of an SJP chapter on campus promotes antisemitism on campus.

Even though Columbia SJP has been suspended, they are still agitating to boycott this event through their social media posts. See sjp.columbia Instagram post dated January 18, 2024 and the saved screenshots: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

SJP is also promoting the notion of anti-normalization that is antithetical to Barnard’s “Day of Dialog and Reflection” and to the entire college experience. This goal of this notion is to isolate and ostracize Jewish and pro-Israel students on campus. See the post on sjp.columbia Instagram account dated January 18, 2024 and the saved screenshots: A, B, C, D, E, F, G).

SJP members and students of affiliated groups are disrupting classes and events at Barnard while protesting the “A Day of Dialogue and Reflection”. See the post from SJP on Instagram.
