A rally organized by Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD) group on behalf of the suspended Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) groups openly supported the Houthi Rebels, a formally declared terrorist organization. Genocidal slogans such as “From the river to the sea Palestine will be free” (widely recognized as a call of ethnic cleansing of Jews from the land of Israel and is formally banned in Germany} and “Globalize the Intifada!” (inciting violence against Jews around the world, including right here in the US), were frequently changed making all Jewish students unsafe.

It is clear that the Columbia administration is unable--and by some reports unwilling--to prevent banned groups from holding threatening demonstrations on campus.

Specifically,

• Post by sjp.columbia, swscolumbia, and cuapartheiddivest (proof) announcing a protest titled” Hands off Yemen and Gaza”. Screenshots taken Tuesday 1/16/2024 ~11:30pm (see folder with screenshots).

• Unapproved protest by an officially suspended organization.

• Demonstrators chant “Yemen, Yemen makes us proud turn another ship around” in support of the Houthis–a designated terror organization (see video).

• Intifada related chants that are understood to be incitement for the genocide of Jews (video). Chants of “Long live Intifada!”, “Intifada revolution” (video), “Globalize the Intifada” (video), etc. Marching around campus yelling “Intifada” (video). Even chants of “Intifada revolution” during the singing of Hatikvah (video).

• “If we don’t get no justice, they don’t get no peace” (video at time ~30 seconds)

• “Resistance is justified when people are occupied” (video at time 1:16)

• Video: Chants “From the River to the Sea” (times: 0:27, 1:22) and signs “Intifada” and “Victory to the Intifada” (time: 1:58). More changes of “From the river to the sea” (video)

• Video: Students chanting in Arabic, "min el maya lel-maya Falastine Arabiye" - which is roughly translated to "From the water to the water, Palestine is Arab"

• Students kicking down barricades put around Alma Mater (video).
