This protest was planned in collaboration with Within Our Lifetime (WOL). It was advertised as a collaboration between WOL and CUAD (Columbia university apartheid divest). (screenshot1, screenshot2). On Instagram, the “collaborators” for this protest include wol.palestine, nationalsjp, sjp.columbia, jvp.columbia, cuapartheiddivest. This protest was endorsed by many organizations (screenshot1, which includes SJP, screenshot2, screenshot3). The main flier was shared on Instagram by many Columbia student groups including sjp.columbia, cumc4palestine, cssw4palestine, cuapartheiddivest, jvp.columbia.
Another flier for this protest was circulated that read: “Rally for Columbia Students and peaceful protesters who were attacked on Columbia’s campus by two former members of the Israeli military with an Israeli-made chemical weapon known as “skunk”, used to persecute Palestinians.” This flier also included the faces of two individuals who allegedly perpetrated this action. The flier also reads “Stop the Zionist violence on campus”.
