• Barnard Class of 2024 Letter to President Rosenbury

  • Students sign a letter “expressing our frustrations with and demands for Laura Rosenbury in regards to the ongoing genocide in Palestine on behalf of our graduating senior class.” According to the google doc form, “the letter given to Rosenbury and related faculty at the Barnard Senior Toast (February 21st) during an organized silent protest.” The petition makes a number of unfounded, antisemitic, and inflammatory claims  and demands. The petition calls for (a) “verbal and written recognition of the ongoing Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people and publicly call for an immediate ceasefire”; (b) a public apology to students called into disciplinary inquiry meetings; (c) decrease of Barnard Public Safety and NYPD presence on and around campus; (d) publish a complete list of Barnard College endowment portfolio holdings and demand divestment from Israeli companies.
