Professor Shayoni Mitra, who served as a Senior Lecturer in Theater at Barnard College (not tenured), questioned the funding of milk cartons that featured the American-Israeli hostages and were displayed on Columbia’s East Lawn as a part of the art exhibit to memorialize 10/7 victims and raise awareness for the existing 101 hostages.
